Web: www.sada53.org We Congratulate the People of Ethiopia!!! and the Government of Ethiopia for work well done!!! Sons and Daughters of Africa /SADA/ We, the sons and daughters of
Africa, have observed that on Sunday May 23, 2010 32 Million Ethiopians went to the polls and cast their votes, for a government
of their choice to run their affairs for the next five years. During this historic day,
Ethiopia, along side the other success stories in
the continent,has confirmed that,
Africa is no more on the receiving end of the pendulum that wiggles and
waddles to the instructions of some quarters as pertains to democracy and good governance. Ethiopians who are the
torch-bearers of the African anti-colonial struggle for independence and
sovereignty, by defeating, a European colonial aggressor in 1896, at the
battle of Adowa, have again shown to the world that Africa too could no
doubt hold a democratic election, in a peaceful and civilized manner. The May 23, 2010 Ethiopian
election has incontestably shown that Africa has
mustered a democratic culture, long perceived to be the sole monopoly of the
so called civilized world. We, the Sons And Daughters of
Africa have been enthused and encouraged by the political maturity and the
level of democratic culture exemplified by the Ethiopian people and would
seize this opportunity to congratulate them for a marvelous job well done. |
