A Round Table Discussion on Technology and Food Security Held at the Embassy of Ethiopia in Washington DC.

(Eth Embassy DC)-A half-day colloquium on "Food Security and Technology" was conducted at the conference room of the Embassy of Ethiopia in Washington DC.


The World Food Law Round Table was organized and launched by the World Food Law Institute at the Howard University School of Law in consortium with the Ethiopian Embassy in Washington DC and the UN Food and Agricultural Organization/FAO/.

The learned participants to the round table discussion, who presented study papers in their varied respective fields of expertise, were drawn from US government departments and agencies, charitable and humanitarian organizations, universities and research centers, investment, trade and private businesses across the country.

The presentations made were supported by the latest statistical and factual data based on comparative analysis of multi-faceted areas of endeavor that inform food security and technology.

To high light the round table discussion, the discussants saw to it that it was buttressed by recommendations made and possible solutions proposed to mitigate food insecurity and ensure availability, sustainability and continuity of sufficient and adequate food augmented by pertinent input acquired from and complimented by the various fields impacting the sector.
