TDA Will Celebrate its 20th Year Anniversary
The Tigray Development Association (TDA) will celebrate its 20th year anniversary in August 2009. The association has taken the month of August as a development month and will organize several events to be held in Tigrai-Mekelle, Washington D.C, Frankfurt and Addis Ababa. The events include; Tigray Development Symposium (TDS-2009), Family Festival “Ashenda” as its background, Youths week sports and athletics, and Trade mission.

The Tigray Development Symposium (TDS-2009) will provide a forum to discuss and designed, future development and blend past and current development achievements, challenges and perspectives of the Tigray Regional State. Addressing the economic development of Ethiopia in view of the PASDEP, the SDPRP strategies and MDG’s. The forum will reveal where we are as a Regional State? And where we are going?
On August 28 and 29, 2009, TDA in cooperation with Mekelle University and other stakeholders will hold a two-day symposium in Mekelle to address multidisciplinary issues across major areas of economic, infrastructural and social development sectors.

Delegates from the government of Tigrai and TDA will attend the festivals to be held in Europe and North America. The organizing committee invites all interested individuals to send their papers to the symposium. TDA will document and publish the papers for public consumption.
