It is really shocking and devastating to learn that this tragedy has claimed the lives of our beloved brothers and sisters. They have scarified their entire life for the struggle to attain peace, democracy and prosperity. Finally, they have paid the ultimate price while they were marching to discharge their duty. Although it is too sad to miss such great artists at their young age, they will be remembered for ever for the history they have made in their short life.
I would like to express my heartfelt condolences to their families, friends and the people of Tigray.

May I cry?
Not for you, just for me and Tigray
May I cry?
Not for you, just for your love one left behind in sorrow;
For those didn’t witness your deeds- but who will know you tomorrow.
May I cry?
Not for you, just for those ungrateful of your deeds,
But never hesitated eat your fruits.
May I cry?
Not for you, just for those comrades hiked on your backs,
For those got forgotten your existence,
While you were on this timely Earth;
I do not cry for you,
While you are shining like your names,
Four Brhanes ,Tekie
Ashenafi, Letish, Habtom, and Haile.
I do not cry,
F or the journey you made, cause not many had it this far,
Winning the battles and the mother of all war,
You are not gone, rather rest,
You have given us all your best.
I do not cry,
But I will miss you, even though it hurts,
For sure you will be remembered and will always exist.
Message of condolences from Agazi School Alumni Association - North America
Just as we celebrate New Year and Meskel with festive music of our Artists from different parts of Ethiopia, to lose 9 Artists at once from Tigray is real tragedy. Friends and families may be comforted by the fact that they may be out of sight but their voices will be with us. May God rest their souls and give their families the strength to overcome the loss. May the families and friends get the comfort out of the undying voices of their loved ones.
We are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic death of the talented artists and heroes of Tigray. These great youngsters put their lives on the war front during a fight for freedom and worked hard for the economic and cultural transformation of their country. It is so ironic and unbelievable for these young talents to have survived the tragedies of war only to die in a bus ride at peace time they were supposed to enjoy.
It hurts a lot to think that we won't see them again but they definitely will be in our hearts for the rest of our lives.
May God bless their souls and give their families the strength and comfort at this unbearable times.
Haile G. , Friends and Family From LosAngels, Californiam, USA

It is a shocking and tragic untimely death of the nine popular members of our Police Musical Troupe.
These chivalrous sons and daughters of Ethiopia have certainly left behind an indelible and shining history in their struggle against the preceding heinous Dictatorial polity. It is inspiring to note that their struggle has ushered in a democratic and just system in lieu of the inhuman system.
What is most heartening and gratifying to reminisce is that these have witnessed the irreversible realization of social justice, peace, development and democracy firmly established in Ethiopia as a true testimony to the enduring struggle they waged in the thick and thin of the last thirty seven years until their sudden demise while shouldering and delivering their usual popular mission.
May God rest their soul in peace; console their family with his peace and strength.
With all my heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathy.

Ethiopia lost its precious children untimely
I was shocked and saddened to hear the tragic loss of Berhane Gano, Letemeskel Agew, Berhane Handebet, and others whose names were not broadcast on last night’s ETV news. Words fail me to express the pain I am currently feeling over their untimely death. They were Ethiopia’s golden children—all of them “Tegadelties” who selflessly fought against the brutal regime—the Derg. The Ethiopian people owe them gratitude for the great sacrifices they endured during the ardent struggle that lasted for seventeen years.
Moreover, they were working tirelessly to eradicate poverty and complete the wishes of their fallen comrades until they departed from us yesterday. They died in action. For all the things they have done for us, we will never forget them. Their good deeds will live in our hearts and in the anal of history.
May God rest their souls in heaven, and give comfort to the bereaved families.
Do not tell me my heroes and heroins are deceased:
To me they are not dead for they have left the most precious thing
that generation shall venerate-History!. As a person who senses and
feels deeply what their precious legacy mean to me and their people, i
still fill they are among us.
Back in the days of trenches, I heard Tegadelty never showed tears
in their eye when they lost their heroic comrades, as if their
lacrimal gland went out dry, despite their intimacy and love to each
other was more than brothers and sisters from the same womb but for
sure it was not the case. It was most probably b/c they knew every
Tegadaly/Tegadalit was registering history and leaving a legacy to his
people to be venerated for generations to come.
So, do not tell me they are no more among us. They just preferred to
be beside their comrades that paid their precious life before them but
all are still among us. Birhane Gano had told us every thing: that he
will leave us soon, to rest beside missed comrades but
altruistically leave his legacy to us like those before him to stay
I heard the apparently devastating news hour back. It took me a while
to collect myself, my deep sorrow but finally realize that they are
not gone for good to disappear as if they never existed like those
who have no legacy at all.
May almighty rest their soul in peace!

I am writing to express my deepest sympathy and condolences to the families and friends of artists Berhane Gano, Letemeskel Agew, Berhane Handebet and six others. I was deeply saddened to hear about the accident and the consequent untimely death of the artists. It is a big loss for the families and for the colleagues.
I was shocked when I heard on the Ethiopian television news this terrible loss. It is a tragedy that they have gone so soon. It is unimaginable the kind of pain for those who fought along with them in the 17 years of arm straggle for freedom and equality. They are gone but their contributions will always be an example for all of us to live up to with deepest sympathy.
May God comfort their families and friends.
