Aigaforum 06-02-16 The democratic process Ethiopia is passing through may be typical when compared to other developed democratic nations around the world. The only difference may be that Ethiopia is trying to democratizes while keeping the unity of the many diverse nation and nationalities.

Update-Interview-Part3After we were contacted by the victims Aigaforum tried to find out what really happened to these people. Recognizing the sensitivity of the issue we tried to check with authorities form both regional governments and the victims about the truthfulness of the story. We have received written replies from government officials and have interviewed the victims themselves. While recognizing the challenges of establishing a democratic order and the tall task the Ethiopian government and regional governments are facing we are sadden of all the regional governments the Amhara government is failing these victims. We are also sadden the Tigrai government has yet to involve itself to resolve these people's complaint. Update on june 08, 2016

The
history of the Amhara and Tigrean people goes thousands of years back. In fact
for many Ethiopia owes its history and existence to these brotherly people. Ever
since EPRDF came to power the two people under the vanguard leadership of TPLF
and ANDM have been anchor for the new federal Ethiopia. While other parts of
Ethiopia saw many disturbance over the last 25 years the two nations lived in
peace and in harmony respecting each others people living within their Kilil.
However, of late there are very disturbing developments where people are
uprooted and dislodged from their livelihood by anti peace and anti-unity outlaws
in plain line of sight to officials. The disturbing part is according to the
victims from Shinfa North western Amhara region the regional government is failing
to address their complaints.
