When we first heard the interview we were taken back by a big surprise how the PM was addressed! We grew up where adults, not to mention authorities, were respected and addressed as “Nesom, Eswo” similar to “Sir” and “your honor!”. Then someone alerted us that the culture in Eritrea is somewhat different when it comes to affection and respect! In fact if someone respects and loves you in Eritrea, he/she will call you “ata, ante” basically “you!”. We still think the culture and norm of the host country should have prevailed regardless in this case but we understand the PM was talking to Eritreans!   Introduction     Q & A(Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) Paltalk Voice Forum) April 11, 2008 The other day we heard about the strength and stamina of Ado Woyenti from the mothers of Almaz and Haileyesus(Dambush). Today we bring you a musical song about the mother of Berhanemeskel, Hayelom’s nephew. In this song Iyassu Berhe beautifully narrates how Berhanemeskel’s mom came by and asked her brother the late General Hayelom where her son was during the early days of TPLF? Miraculously Berhanmeskel’s mom was standing on the same place her son was freshly buried when she asked the late General Hayelom about her martyred son. The struggle to defeat the Derge regime has consumed many lives. There are many mothers left with out a son and daughter! It may not be possible to tell all the stories of Woyane but it would be a shame on us if the legacy of those martyred does not live forever! The question to ask then is what are we doing to make sure the revolution is not thwarted by reincarnated Dergist? Are we doing enough to keep the legacy live on?   Zantana (04/10/08)The story of woyane Tigray as told by Ado Woyenti: Martyred Almaz and Dawit Abraha and Haileyesus (Dambush)   Almaz Part I     Almaz Part II     Dawit Part I     Dawit Part II   Haileyesus (Dambush) Part I     Haileyesus (Dambush) Part II The courageous men and women of the Ethiopian Security Forces in conjunction with peace loving peoples of Ethiopia have been foiling numerous acts of terrorism on their tracks, denying a killing spree from taking place. In spite of this courageous and vigilant gesture, the craven terrorists have managed to harm our people in some occasions. The struggle has continued to rout and seize these terrorists. And, just recently, our Security Forces have captured "skilled" terrorist, who was trained by Eritrea- a one man state of dictatorship. This is a testament to those who are running to live another day to cause havoc and mayhem. Remember, "you can run but you cannot hide." !
