Building Gilgel Gibe III And The Ones Opposed To It

During the Italian Occupation of Ethiopia in the 1930-40's my father was one of the brave son's of Ethiopia who has been leading in the beginining hundreds and then as the fighting intensified thousends of followers who were tormenting the fascist Italians and making them flee in fear to be finally traced and killed by the patriots. He was highely decorated (chest full of high decoration) of vallor and patriotism to only after eight seven years of Hailesillasie's rule to be neglected and oppressed by Hailesilasse who crushed the patriots all around the country and gave high posts to those who cooperated with the invading fascit army.

My father used to tell me that there were plenty of those who were offering eggs and chicken as well as women to the invading fascit Italian army, who were at times chased and killed by the patriots during the occupation. But then there were as I already mentioned those who were given adminstrative and other high government posts when Hailesillasse was brought to Ethiopia by the help of the English man. Hailesillasse might have asked for help, but surely the first and the first efficient patriots of the 1930-1940 war, The Ethiopian patriots need not ask help and did not ask for it, because the invading Italian fascit army was surrendering to the victorious Ethiopian patriots when the British army was entering Kenya mainly to stablish a base for the future protection of the the western interest accross the sea: the oil fields of middle east. The British never had the intention of helping Ethiopia, quite the contrary Mussolini was there ally and Pop Pius has given his blessing was constantely praying for the well being of the fascit Italian army to go and bucher The Ethiopians. Fascit Italy was an ally for Britain till the day Hitler bombed London. It is worth mentioning that though Hitler had in his store numerous kinds of deadly chemical weapons he never used it aganist Europian countries and not even aganist the Soviet Union. But Ethiopia was the first country to be the victim of Chemical weapon and namely the deadly Mustured gas chemical weapon.

The reason why I brought up these documented fact of history including by the British Historians is that I see a lot of similarity between those from outside Ethiopia and by those within the country that are opposed to the construction of Gilgel Gibe III Dam. What a sick mentality is that to advocate for remaining in darkness and servitude with no schools, hospitals, irrigation farm lands, industry and if the able leadership will consentrate in aquiering a modern steel industry as well as Electric Trainindustry and Metro (Subway) all of which need Electric energy.

Those mesmeraised Ethiopians who echo the anti-development projects in Gilgel Gibe III are in no way different to those who have been offering eggs, chicken and their women to the facsist Italian army. The similarity is visable and evident in most technical and qualified sence.

In fact Ethiopia must not only build Gilgel Gibe III but also move fast diplomatically in convincing the U.S.A and Western Europeans that a strong Ethiopia both economically and militarilly is not only in the interest of Ethiopia but rather for the best interest of the U,S.A and Western Europe there by strengthening the efficiency and logistics of the the Ethiopian army but also in building Gilgel Gibe III but also building multi Giga Watt Hydro power stations in the course of the Nile River. The situation in North Africa is now favourable for Ethiopia to convince especially The U.S.A to strengthen Ethiopias air defence and maximise in strengthning the Ethiopian Air force and ground forces as well as exploite the situation to move fast as I already mentioned in constructing Huge electric dams not only in Gilgel Gibe III but also in the course of the river nile.
