Naked Eritrean Regime: Hiding in Public Square!

Zeru Hagos Dec 20, 2011- The emperor in Eritrea is a naked emperor, yet he is unaware of his nakedness. A lot of things have changed with the Eritrean one man regime-Isaias Afeworki since he telegrammed to Bill Clinton to save him and his regime at the 11th hour before it collapse by the heroic Ethiopian Defence Forces pounding.

Many Ethiopians were dumfounded why Ethiopia went along with the Algiers agreement when it could have finished the one man regime in Eritrea for good.

Then, unlike today, the running dogs of Isaias Afeworki, facing a certain defeat of their “ warsay yikalo” forces were telling the BBC and other media outlets that they know how to survive in the barren mountains of Nacfa and their retreat was no defeat. They said this after order was given for the remaining Eritrean forces to leave Asmara and nearby cities and towns destroying bridges. Today the one man regime spokesperson is telling VOA Amharic,(  (click to listen) that the US was the reason Ethiopia was saved from the imminent collapse due to the one man regime military capabilities and strength. Ah! Entay emo yigeber(what can one do!). Shaibya has taken the saying “loosing is winning” to another level!

The running dogs of the one man regime may lie and could rewrite history. However, we hope the Eritrean people understand the last war was stopped to save them from more grief and sorrow. It was stopped so that they have one more chance to determine their destiny and choose by hook or crook a democratic government of their own. If they fail to do so the EPRDF government good will gesture towards them and the painful decision it made to stop the last war will be recorded as a huge misstep!

Let us hope Ali Abdu will not be the last one to write the last chapter of the Ethio-Eritrea relationship and the events that led to Algiers Agreement Fiasco! Regardless of the merits of the decision that gave Ali Abdu another chance to stand on the podium let us record and write the true story behind the events that led to the Algiers Agreement.

To the leaders of the EPRDF government, appreciate and understand where the public’s simmering anger is coming from when it comes to Badme. The Ali Abdu’s of Shaibya do not deserve a pinch of water let alone Badme! Please do not pacify our anger towards Shaibya and the likes of Ali Abdu! Thank You!
