TDA/NA Chicago Chapter: Annual Meeting concluded successfully

TDA/NA, Chicago Chapter, convened and concluded its Annual Meeting successfully in Chicago , on Saturday, September 19, 2009. 

The Annual Meeting, among other things, heard the Chapter’s general performance report; discussed on important issues of the report; drew very important lessons from its strengths and weaknesses; and, finally it elected seven new board members, including four young men and women, who would run the business of the Chapter for the next term.

The attendees made recommendations to uphold the Chapter’s exemplary duties to further strengthen and rejuvenate TDA/NA, Chicago Chapter. The participants of the meeting also called upon all Tigreans who reside in Chicago and its vicinities to join hands and participate in development activities led by TDA International. The meeting has strongly emphasized that the participation of the Tigrean youth was vital and should be encouraged so that they would shoulder the burden of their elders.

The move by TDA Chicago Chapter is a good example in the spirit of rejuvenation and strengthening of TDA/NA, Chicago Chapter. The readiness to take up responsibilities by conscious young men and women in the leadership of Chicago Chapter is a step forward in the annals of TDA’s history. The enthusiasm, determination and commitment demonstrated by the youth of Chicago has been commendable; and, hence, is sending a message to the rest of all Tigrean youth in the Diaspora to follow suit.
