Opposition blame game: It has not worked before and it won’t work now!

Over the years the dysfunctional Ethiopian oppositions have been blaming everything, and I mean every thing, that ills Ethiopia on the EPRDF government. Once upon a time before Shaibia Asmera became a destination place for most oppositions, the EPRDF and in particular PM Meles Zenawi was blamed for allowing Eritrea to secede. Today, dysfunction as they are, they have started blaming Tigreans too.

When the EPRDF organization sought to remedy its internal weakness during the Tehadeso (renascence) moment the opposition blamed the majority for being pro this and that and that they were weak on national security. That did not work well for them and they abandoned the campaign slogan all together once they realized their strong card, Badme and other Ethiopian land was not going anywhere.

Ever since then the dysfunctional oppositions, primarily driven by zealot extremist from the Diaspora and Ginbot 7 (G7), have been blaming the government for all kind of mischief people do. Take for example the bank gold scandal that embarrassed the nation. The perpetuators were not EPRDF members but what did the dysfunctional opposition do? They blame EPRDF and its constituents! Not ashamed by such shameful campaign they continue the blame game when the economy overheats and inflationary pressure reared its ugly head. They blame the EPRDF government with a clumsy argument that Mekelle is growing but Addis is not so to speak! This was to put wedges where there were no cracks and it failed.

Today the blame game has reached a new level. Thanks to the two coward G7 members they are blaming the EPRDF government for doing its job to keep the country safe and sound. The Ethiopian army has been rebuilding its strength and fighting capacity. Building a professional and modern army requires strict adherence to discipline and the constitution. From time to time the Defense Ministry has been performing evaluation and professional appraising. Let alone in Ethiopia even in the most developed world the army goes through such process and does force some generals to retire and be demoted.

Ethiopia is not unique and the army does reshuffling from time to time. But the dysfunctional opposition lead by G7 wants us to believe the current demotion and appraisal of some army personnel’s with thin the Ethiopian army has to do with EPRDF politics and they are blaming not only EPRDF but also Tigreans!

When a general who happens to be an Oromo betrays his country and runs to Shaibia they claim EPRDF is harassing Oromo’s, when a general who happens to be a Wollye is charge for alleged crime they claim EPRDF is harassing Amhara's but when it comes to Generals like Tsadkan and Abebe who happen to be Tigrai and have been out of the army for a while, all must be well since we never heard G7 or their predecessors crying foul! They must think little of us all; else, some one needs to tell me why?

You may have heard about a tenquay (witch) that goes by the name Tamerat Geleta! He is alleged to have swindle money with false premises under the disguise of being a God messenger. Like wise the Tamerat Gelata’s from Diaspora (G7) are swindling $500 from gullible Diaspora with false hope. I cannot wait how G7 will blame EPRDF when Tamerta is sentenced and put to jail along with his handlers. If you allow me to guess, I think Berhanu and Andy are capable to fool their followers with a slogan… how come there are no witches (tenquai) in Tigrai? Why a single witch is not jailed in Tigrai?

To be honest, like I said before, I am content by the opposition campaign. Let them continue raising such flawed and stupid campaign materials. We all know Ethiopians of all creed and religion are our people. The dysfunctional opposition cannot claim a single Amhara or Oromo or Tigrai or Wolyaita or Silte ...etc as their own! We should not allow them to claim our people in Tigrai or Amhara as their own by feeling sorry on behalf of individuals that may have lost their job due to performance or what have you.

I do not know where Berhanu and company were when General Tsadkan and General Abebe left their job to cry foul now on behalf of a shameful general that betrayed his country for Shaibia and an alleged general that dreams to change a system by killing an individual!

I tell you readers; we have one bunch of idiots running most of the opposition camp(exception EDP) to hell. And I am all for it since I have given hopes a loyal opposition can come out of Diaspora!

Thanks to EPRDF Ethiopia is moving forward. All of our main major cities in Ethiopia are seeing unprecedented development. Our farmers in all corners are improving their livelihood. Ethiopians are in a much better position to think twice before they lend their support to such losers. That is why they all are doing the “ta te” towards Asmera, following their darling Elias Kifle of Ethiopian Eritrean Review!
