Addis Ababa, June 11
(WIC) – Preparations are well in progress to successfully host the
5th International Conference on Federalism to be held in December 2010
in Ethiopia, according to conference organizing office. Office Director, Solomon Tadesse, told WIC that stakeholders at federal and state
levels are undertaking the necessary preparations for the success of the
conference. He said the office is
currently identifying countries that will take part at the conference as well
as selecting research papers. According to Solomon, the
conference will have a significant contribution to build the positive image
of Africa and Ethiopia at large. He said Ethiopia was
chosen to host the conference at the fourth International Conference on
Federalism held in India.
The conference will be
held for the first time in Africa under the theme, “Equality and Unity in
Diversity for Development,” it was learnt. |
