The leader who melted away like a burning candle (ende shama yeqelete meri!).
Some from the western media would like us to believe PM Meles government success in the economic field was attained at the expense of human right issues. As you can see from Meles’s last interview Meles was working hard even though he was clearly very sick. Meles worked hard to bring change at the expense of his personal life! As Azeb said during the funeral, Ethiopians have the last say as to what kind of leader Meles was. In no uncertain terms Ethiopians have told the world Meles was a leader who melted away like a burning candle. Those saying otherwise should find us a person, a leader, other than PM Meles who lived and died like Meles.
