Anything wrong with EPRDF or All is Well!

The transformation phase of the long campaign that started some 35 years a go is about to start. EPRDF member organizations have been electing their leaders for the next two years. The EPRDF leaders have been telling us about a phase plan to transform their respective organization leadership team- that is to replace the veteran leaders with new and young for a while now. So far we have seen three of the four member organizations list of names for the executive team. Mekelle, September 9 (WIC) –The ongoing 10th regular conference of the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF) today elected 45 Central Committee members, including five women...Meles Zenawi and Abay Weldu were elected as chairperson and vice chairperson.

The UCLA Film & Television Archive presents acclaimed Ethiopian-born filmmaker Haile Gerima in person with his film Teza (2008), next Monday, September 13 at the Billy Wilder Theater in Westwood Village.
In addition to celebrating this important new film by an alumnus of the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, this screening honors late UCLA professor Teshome Gabriel who passed away in June 2010. Proceeds from this screening will benefit the memorial scholarship fund established in Professor Gabriel’s name.
