Egypt building secret tunnels to take water out of country, says Mohamed Ali
The Egyptian government has laid secret tunnels under the Suez Canal to transport water to destinations almost certainly outside of Egypt despite the country's crippling shortage, whistleblower Mohamed Ali told Middle East Eye. "Engineers who worked on these tunnels told me about them and said they had cost billions of dollars," Ali told MEE from a secret location in Spain.

Setback for Abiy and his "Medemer" mantra!
After OPDO/ODP central committee members rejected his push to form a unitary party that would have undermined the current federalism, EPRDF is forced to issue a face-saving statement. In its statement, EPRDF chastizes the TPLF for starting the campaign to undermine the "Medemer" effort and acknowledges the federal structure, as well as the rights of Nations and Nationalities, will be respected. Medemer, for now, is dead!
All indications are the Oromo politicians are looking ahead to Abiy-less ODP and for a new coalition of federalist forces to form a majority government in Ethiopia. EPRDF, as we know it, may be dead but there is a slight chance the new coalition will retain most of the current EPRDF principles. The question is will it be ADP or TPLF that will be left out from the new coalition. If you recall ADP/ANDM has said in no uncertain term it will not accept the constitution as is!

Jawar Departs Abiy Medemer Camp - The End of Color Revolution in Ethiopia?

The "Medemer" campaign is forcing Oromo Nationalists and Academics to rethink their political stand. Abiy and the Berhanu Nega group were certain they were going to bury Federalist forces with a simple populist slogan and the 'Mama Ethiopia' mantra. However, they have come to realize the Nation and Nationalities are not ready to give up their constitutional rights. Even Jawar is on record he will be willing to work with the TPLF to save the constitution and multinational federation! With Jawar's departure from the Abiy camp, (Watch TV Tigrai Amharic News) the color revolution in Ethiopia is coming to an end for sure. We only hope it is not coming to an end the same way it has in other countries-with a catastrophic failure.

Will Abiy Ahmed's Nobel Prize Tilt Ethiopia's Election?
Western leaders long saw the authoritarian Meles Zenawi as an indispensable ally. Now, they’ve found a new hero in Abiy Ahmed. But is the Nobel Prize an effort to make amends or influence Ethiopia’s political future?
Despite the killing of thousands, the uprooting of millions and the horrendous ethnic strife, that has engulfed the country since Abiy assumed power, westerners(some people in the west!) still think Abiy has avoided bloodshed in Ethiopia! What color is blood to these people?

Leaders of Egypt and Ethiopia to meet on Nile dam standoff: Sisi
CAIRO (Reuters) - Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said on Sunday he would meet Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed in Russia to discuss a dispute over a hydropower dam that the Horn of Africa country is building on the River Nile.
Ethiopians may have concluded Abiy is compromised by Egypt and the Arab world, not to mention by western neoliberals! But, Ethiopians have still high hope of those working for the completion of the Dam to not allow Egypt control this dam. There is a rumor the dam is being downsized to generate less power so Egypt is happy. The public needs assurance that is not the case! Are any of the 16 Turbine space being filled by concrete? God forbid if those responsible for the mobilization of public support are quietly allowing the downsizing of the dam!

So he is an Evangelical! How come God is not listening to Ethiopians then- Why all the killing and uprooting?
