The Council of Desperate Housewives? Samuel Estefanous 11-7-18 - 'Don't get me wrong…I am yet rooting for the Premier. So don't be in a lot of hurry to cut some celebratory capering…' that was what I told a friend of mine when he noted that it looked like to him I was retracting my enthusiastic bold steps. Nah, I am not pulling back no tentacles.
Is the Abiy Government on the Verge of Collapse? Zeru Hagos Nov 6, 2018 - After a prolonged hope and patience to see if the Federal Government would uphold the constitution by taking meaningful actions against the unabated murders and mayhems carried against innocent civilians, people are fed up with the Abiy Government! Democrat Jason Crow unseats Republican Rep. Mike Coffman in Colorado House race Democrat Jason Crow will defeat Republican Rep. Mike Coffman in Colorado's 6th Congressional District, NBC News projects.
It's an important victory for Democrats, who are hoping to flip the House of Representatives blue. Note that it matters to Ethiopian politics but we were hoping Mike to lose! Uncalled for, Mike Coffman was interfering in Ethiopian politics. (ትኩስ ሺሮ ድስት ወጥ ረግጦ ነበር)! Abune Aregawi is always on the people's side! (big smile you all)
(Aigaforum) Nov 5, 2018 - According to a reliable source, also, confirmed by social media reports, yet again, the Amhara government has failed to protect citizens within its jurisdiction. Hundreds if not thousands of people have been uprooted, killed and dislocated in western Gondar zone near the Sudanese border. Tigreans and Kimant people have been targeted and many have crossed to Sudan to save their lives. The Sudanese have been gracious enough to shelter those displaced but many are still hiding in nearby bushes. The federal government has the duty to protect Ethiopians where ever they live. It is unimaginable the federal government has not ordered the federal forces to intervene as yet! The Amhara government must immediately stop the hooligans and criminals who are killing these people. The Tigrai government must use everything in its power to influence the federal government to intervene immediately. This can not go unchallenged. It is sad for this to happen again. This is a developing story. We will try to find out more in the coming days, stay tuned!.

How Ethiopia's medieval ruins inform its modern-day ethnic strife MENEGASHA, Ethiopia - On a wooded hill near Ethiopia's capital of Addis Ababa, bits of red clay litter the ground next to glittering flakes of obsidian. Nearby, half-buried stones are arranged in a line. On the other side of the hill, a rectangular stone slab ... This is how future strifes in multi-ethnic countries are developed! It is amazing how fast the scavengers are coming together to construct a perfect reason to kill each other. Do we really need archeology to know our identity? Who is claiming Addis except for Ethiopians from all walk of life today? Amazing !

Ethiopia's re-education camps are open again "Peace is for all of us--let us defend it." These words, printed on a plain white t-shirt, seem innocuous enough. Yet not for Bereket, a 17-year-old lad from Ethiopia's capital, Addis Ababa. On September 22nd he was arrested as he walked home from church with two friends.
