When Eritrea was part of Ethiopia, Asmara's nick name was "Tsa'da Asmara". Then, many Ethiopians flocked to the City and turned Asmara to become the most if not the only beautiful city in Ethiopia! Today, Asmara is in ruin and independent Eritrea is on the verge of becoming a failed state. The only Ethiopians flocking in to the city are Ethiopian Diaspora extremists including those from the religious zealots! Everyone else is running away from the country and the city!
These pictures are telling us the outside faces of the city. Grim as they are, imagine what the inside pictures could tell us!
