Interview with Tegadalay General Migbey from Tigray Defense Force(TDF) - June 2021

What an interview! The secret behind why Tigrawaynet is so unique and why Tigrayans have endured for so long and have been owners of a very splendid history of bravery and victory against all odds! The General is an amazing narrator besides his military acumen. No wonder Tigray is so confident of its victory despite the many losses of its contemporary leaders. Wai, enkua Tigraway konku! Tigray Government Statement in regard to Mekelle and current political developments- June 28, 2021

Due to the fast-emerging development in and around Mekelle, the Tigray Government has no option but to order the TDF to enter Mekelle to secure public safety. The Abiy regime will leave no stone unturned and is feared he purposely left Mekelle so he can order carpet bombing. It is rumored Shaibya's long-range guns are aimed at Mekelle. The international community has a responsibility to declare a no-fly zone in Tigray. The US is specially responsible to demand Isaias and Abiy adhere to international norms of war.
Note(#1): TDF has secured Mekelle and is continuing a cleanup operation in and around Mekelle. The fate of cities and towns under Shaibya (West and Central Tigray) is still unknown but we were told there is an ongoing preparation to secure every inch of Tigray land. Glory to our martyrs!! To those TDF fighters and leaders watching your destroyed residences in Mekelle now, we will rebuild the houses as part of the Hedase Tigray!

Ethiopian forces withdraw from Tigray regional capital Mekelle
CNN - Less than a week into an intense offensive by Tigrayan forces, the Ethiopian military has withdrawn from the war-torn regional Tigrayan capital of Mekelle on Monday, a UN official told CNN. The official spoke on the condition of anonymity due to fear of reprisal from the Ethiopian government. The news was greeted with cheers in Mekelle, and CNN journalists witnessed as people poured onto the streets in celebration, despite calls for them to stay indoors. Fireworks could also be heard as celebrations carried on into the night.

Abiy Army Routed in Tigray!!
The success of the recent TDF Military strategic operation is beyond anyone's imagination. Although no one doubts the tenacity and ability of Tigrayans and their renowned general's ability to win battles and wars it is still an amazing feat. The following is one snapshot of Abiy Ahmed's foot soldiers that were taken, prisoners. We are told there are other similar camps. The Tigray government is trying to reach the ICRC and other International Institutions so these prisoners' needs are met. As you all know the Abiy government has blocked all roads leading into Tigray and these prisoners need to be fed and transported to their place of origin.

New video of Ethiopia massacre shows soldiers passing phone around to document their executions of unarmed men
A few scattered human bones lay on the rocky ground, along with a broken skull and several half-burned identification cards. That is all the villagers could find, six months after Ethiopian troops rounded up their loved ones and shot them at point-blank range, throwing the bodies off a rocky hillside deep in the mountains of central Tigray in Ethiopia.

Tigray's Holy War: What should the objectives be? Part I
Retie Keneo 06-25-.21 - The popular struggle of Tigrayans is a just fight against internal and external genocidal criminals and oppressors; and it must aim to stop this alien occupation, the on-going and future genocide and crimes against humanity in all their aspects, hold those criminals accountable, compel the Ethiopian and Eritrean states to compensate fully for the human and material damage they have caused, and to safeguard the unqualified right to self-rule of Tigrayans under national and global laws.

Ethiopia's airstrike at Togoga market in Tigray: Old habits die hard
GSTS 06-26-.21 - On the 22nd of June, an airstrike by the Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) on the town of Togoga, 30 km northwest of Tigray's capital, Mekelle left more than 80 people dead and 180 injured1. The airstrike appears to be well-planned to cause maximum damage and hence targeted a busy market at the peak of trading hours.

Aid group MSF 'horrified' as colleagues murdered in Tigray
NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) - The medical charity Doctors Without Borders says it is "horrified by the brutal murder" of three colleagues in Ethiopia's Tigray region, the latest attack on humanitarian workers helping civilians in the deadly conflict there.

A Political Solution Is the Only Way: Crisis Escalates in Ethiopia Amid War, Famine & Elections
Tsedale Lemma - An Ethiopian military bombing of a marketplace in the Tigray region killed at least 64 people in one of the deadliest attacks since government forces invaded the region last November...since Ahmed ordered the Ethiopian military to invade Tigray, which is home to Ethiopia's former governing party, the Tigray People's Liberation Front. The invasion has led to massive food shortages, with aid groups warning 350,000 people in Tigray are on the brink of famine than half a dozen neighboring villages and small towns to market.

(Reuters), ADDIS ABABA June 23 (Reuters) - An air strike killed at least 43 people in the town of Togoga in Ethiopia's Tigray region on Tuesday, a medical official told Reuters, after residents said new fighting had flared in recent days north of the regional capital Mekelle. The bomb hit a market at around 1:00 p.m., according to a woman who said her husband and two-year-old daughter had been injured.

Tigray Invaders taken as prisoners during the recent strategic military operation, aptly named "Genral Alula Aba Nega operation", carried by Tigray Army(TDF). . The operation was not meant to be final operation but from all indication it may lead soon to a final offensive since the sucess of the operation was tremendous. Here is a snap shot of prisoners taken from one area of operation. The operation was carried across a 100 kilometer area. Yet, is to come, according to reliable source

(June 23, 2021) - A Trump Era C-130 Military Aircraft that was donated to Abiy Ahmed was downed by Tigray Army(TDF) while on a mission to kill innocent Tigrayans in Tigray North Africa. The picture was posted on social media. President Biden should condemn the Abiy regime for using such US military donations to kill civilians.

Ezana Sehay June 22, 2021 - For us, Tegaru, June 22nd is a special day: It is our martyr's day, a day we remember the fallen heroes of the struggle against the Ethiopian genocidal regime Dreg. It is the day that provides us an opportunity to celebrate the most sacred act of humanity. The day not only to sanctify the dead but also provide moral nourishment to those living. It is also a day to revisit our history and look to the future.

Abiy Ahmed and the tarnishing of the world's most famous prize
(Washington Post) - If good things come to those who wait, do bad things come to those who don't?...Now, some analysts wonder whether the premature delivery of the award - which led to Abiy's lionization in the West - had a role to play in the ongoing crisis. "We have to acknowledge that we helped to contribute to Abiy's view of himself," Judd Devermont, an Africa expert at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, told the New York Times. "We papered over these challenges very early. We gave him a blank check. When it went wrong, we initially turned a blind eye. And now it may be too late."

The world may have been fooled by this man but Tigrayans were not. From the get-go, Tigrayans have called this fake man "meshrefet". He was not able to fool Tigrayans at all! This tells who Tigrayans are. Enkua Tigraway konku!! Zeru Hagos June 22, 2021

A Call for Immediate Intervention to Stop further use of Cluster Bombs and Incendiary Weapons on Civilians in Tigray
GSTS June 2021 - The Global Society of Tigray Scholars and Professionals (GSTS)i notes that H.E. Mr Mark Lowcock has been succeeded by H.E. Mr Martin Griffiths. GSTS would like to extend its most profound appreciation for the leadership shown by Mr. Lowcock in his effort to address the causes and consequences of the war waged on the people of Tigray. We are pleased with the appointment of Mr. Martin Griffiths. We are hopeful that Mr Griffiths will employ all available resources under his mandate to end the deliberate starvation of the people of Tigray.

Tigray has suffered a lot. Tigrayans have endured untold suffering at the hand of Abiy and Isaias Afeowrki. Regardless of how small our effort was to promote peace and prosperity in Ethiopia, we have concluded we and every Tigraway/ti are responsible for the suffering of Tigrayans because we were not prepared well to defend against the aggressors. Why we failed we will discuss it in the open when the time comes. As you can tell we do not get excited by military victories anymore. To be honest with you, we gave 'Meshreft' all the hardware and human resources TPLF/EPRDF built over the years on a silver platter. So how could we get excited if we collect back our own hardware by sacrificing our young angels, heroes/heroines! Nevertheless, we thought the following message from Getachew Reda was fitting thus we are forced to post it here for all of you to see.

From Nobel Hero to Driver of War, Ethiopia's Leader Faces Voters
At this stage of the war in Tigray, one might argue it is academic, but here is additional information on who started the war. (NY Times today)
"By early last November, word reached Washington that war was looming in Tigray. Senator Chris Coons, who has a longstanding interest in Africa, phoned Mr. Abiy to warn about the perils of resorting to military force. Mr. Coons, a Democrat from Delaware, said he reminded the Ethiopian leader that the American Civil War and World War I had started with promises of swift military victory, only to drag on for years and cost millions of lives. Mr. Abiy was undeterred. "He was confident it would be over in six weeks," Mr. Coons said. Days later, on the evening of the American presidential election, fighting erupted in Tigray."

U.N. rights chief deplores abuse reports in Ethiopia's Tigray
GENEVA (Reuters) - The U.N. rights chief said on Monday she was "deeply disturbed" by reports of continued violations including executions in Ethiopia's Tigray region, and added that a long-awaited joint investigation should be ready by August.

The Sham Ethiopian Election and the Crowning of a Tyrant
M. Tesfaye, 19 June 2021 - When Abiy Ahmed became PM in April 2018, the hope was he would build on the economic and social development achievements of the EPRDF and address the significant deficit in democracy and good governance inherited from previous EPRDF governments.

To all Digital Woyane, you are doing a wonderful job covering the political and military development in Tigray. But please "ተናበቡ.". You need to report more of official news and less of personal opinions and hearsay news when it comes to military and political news from the home front. That way the amazing military victories over Derg 2.0 is not cheapen and belittled.

To begin with, it will be good to wait for the official to release the news. Second, even if you can't wait for the official news then make sure you have your sources confirm what you will report. Also, you should not compete with each other. The newsmakers back home are all our brothers and sisters. No one should assume a privilege to information thus no need to compete who posts or airs the information first. If you heard it first it is because of someone from the Tigray Army has told you. And that person's oath is to the people and its government as such his/her information is public and should be made available to all. Thank you and ኮሪዕናልኩም ኢና! (From our email Folder- June 18, 2021)

TPLF Statement: A call for General Uprising and Strategic Offensive Military Campaign to Liberate Tigray and Tigrayans
TPLF Office has called for a general uprising and a final Strategic Military Offensive to remove aggressors from Tigray. In its statement, TPLF said, the continued rape of Tigrayan girls and the untold killing and mayhem has to stop, and now is the time to engage the enemy once for all. TPLF calls on every abled Tigrayan to block all roads and apprehend the fleeing enemy. As your recall TDF started a major strategic attack on the Tembien front on June 17-18, 2021. The initial report coming is the Enemy comprised of Eritrean soldiers and Abiy Ahmed's leftover soldiers have been routed decisively.

Hidden horrors in the Tigray War: The allies' ethos of cruelty
Berhane G 06-19-21 - Since the war begun on November 4, 2020, in Tigray region, the allied forces (Ethiopia soldiers, Amhara Militia and Eritrean soldiers) murdered thousands of civilians, violently raped women and girls aging from 4 to 70s, and destructed all infrastructures of the region. Why? In November 2020, a religious festival in Mariam Dengelat was turned into a massacre by Eritrean soldiers. The soldiers murdered the priests, old men and women, entire families, and a group of more than....

EU envoy: Ethiopian leadership vowed to 'wipe out' Tigrayans
NAIROBI, Kenya -- Ethiopia's leaders in closed-door talks with a European Union special envoy earlier this year said "they are going to wipe out the Tigrayans for 100 years," the envoy said this week, warning that such an aim "looks for us like ethnic cleansing."

Even Hitler did not declare his evil plan like this. A small poor and destitute govt of Abiy declaring such an evil plan in the open is beyond astonishment. The international community should take action immediately. ዓምሓሩ እንትብሉ፤ እኛም አዉቀን ጉድጛድ ጭረናል! ኽንረአኤ ኢና መን ንመን ከምዘጥፍእ!!. [Zeru Hagos June 18, 2021]

Don't Turn Away From These Images and These Crimes
Nicholas Kristof (NYT) - Meet Rahel, 19, a human face of a brutal ethnic cleansing now underway in Ethiopia. "There were three soldiers," she said as she lay on a bed in a crowded hospital. "They were asking me to take off my dress. I refused. I said, "You can kill me." The men paid no heed and gang-raped her, part of a scorched-earth counterinsurgency campaign of murder, rape, pillage and famine by Ethiopian and Eritrean troops.

Facebook's press release today on shutting down Abiy's large dis-information network on Facebook and Instagram.
We removed a network of accounts, Pages and Groups in Ethiopia for coordinated inauthentic behavior (CIB). It targeted domestic audiences in its own country. The people behind this activity coordinated with one another and used fake accounts as a central part of their operations to mislead people

(Dear readers, as you can tell we have completely ignored Abiy and his regime and stopped covering Ethiopian news as well. We could care less an iota about what happen to Ethiopia ever since the Amhara elites and Abiy foot soldiers started to slaughter Tigrayans. We are also saddened to see most Ethiopians be willing victims of Abiy instead of rising up much as the Tigrayans have done. Having said this, we want to let you know Facebook is finally catching up with Abiy cyber warriors now that Andargachew Tsige and cohorts have denounced the USA. The emperor is becoming more naked by the day! And we like it! --Aigaforum June 16, 2021)

NYT Reports The War in Tigray
(NYT) Abiy Ahmed, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2019 for brokering a deal with Eritrea. However, the nation is now in the grips of a civil war, as Mr. Ahmed undertakes a military campaign that has killed thousands and displaced millions. In the northern region of Tigray, there have been widespread reports of massacres, human rights abuses and a looming famine.

Ezana Sehay 2016-06-15 - It goes with out saying, The Weeknd, aka Abel Tesfay is one of the most successful and beloved entertainers of his generation. Nevertheless, despite his status in the industry (entertainment) he is recognized for his dawn to earth attitude. A couple of years ago, during the Grammys award ceremony, Adele, another extraordinary singer is quoted to have said, "how is this guy (the Weeknd) so talented and handsome yet so humble".

Starvation has become a weapon of war in Ethiopia. U.S. action is urgent
Washington Post Editorial Board -June 15, 2021 at 10:31 a.m. PDT - FOR MONTHS humanitarian agencies have been warning that famine could spread in the Ethiopian region of Tigray if government forces and allied troops from neighboring Eritrea did not end a brutal campaign to subjugate the area. Now that emergency has arrived. U.N. agencies reported last week that more than 350,000 of Tigray's 6 million people are living in famine conditions, and 2 million more are at risk.

Amen and Kudos to the Post Editorial Board. Now is time for action not for another procrastination in the name of Sovereignty and diplomacy. Tigrayan Lives Matter!!

Inviting Foreign Countries to Commit Mass Atrocities in Tigray: How Ethiopia is abusing its Sovereignty.
Prof Desta, Asayehgn 06-14-21 - As stated in the international humanitarian and human rights law, the United States applying "sovereignty as responsibility" is attempting to apply economic and political sanction against Ethiopian Government because the Ethiopian National Federal Forces in collaborators with other foreign governments has committed crimes of mass atrocities related to genocide, starvation, looting and the raping of underage girls and women in Tigray, Ethiopia.

Abiy Ahmed: The Nobel Prize winner who went to war
Abiy Ahmed was once widely praised outside the country for his reforming zeal but that image. His journey from darling of the international community to condemnation has been swift.
The West was to quick to embolden this man even though they were warned. Now Tigrayans are paying for their stupidity. However glad they have realized their mistake. Abiy's obituary is being written every day. It seems his days are numbered not as the foreign ruler of Tigray but as the head of remaining Ethiopia.
