Toronto, Tuesday July 17th, 2012-- The Ethiopian Airlines made an important milestone in its aviation history by launching its first flight from Addis Ababa to Toronto, Canada today.
It was a proud moment for all Ethiopians who have been lobbying for the airlines to have access to the Canadian market.

Many of you have asked us about PM Meles absence from public view the last few weeks. Here is what we have found out: The primier is well and has been resting to recover from exhaustion with a much deserved "forced" vacation. The wild rumors about his health by the extermists aside, the primier has been the most healthy hardworking prime minister Ethiopia has had. The infromation we have is the doctor has given him a relatively clean health for his age and we expect him to continue work shortly. As expected some of the international news media have started to cover the news of his absence from the AU meeting. But, all is well!

Ethiopian political organizations are known to have at some point in their political life some kind of internal schism. The schism has cost some organizations dearly. But when the schism is handled properly it has also enabled some of them to come out stronger. In the case of the current schism developing in Ginbot 7 no one knows for sure if the organization will survive but indications are it is going to be a costly one. Listening to the audio below Ginbot 7 is indeed in trouble. One wonders how a promising politician who could have become a mayor of a big city is left squabbling with his own followers unable to settle difference amicably!
