Earlier this week, Eritrea's Ministry of Information gave an account of some interviews recently given by President Issayas. As with numerous other interviews part of Eritrea's 16th anniversary of independence in May, these appear to demonstrate both an inflated view of his, and Eritrea's place in the world... more from...
A Week in the Horn
An Inquisitive mind wanted to know...then!
Addis Neger, a private paper in Addis, quoted a certain UDJ supporter in Gojjam, Amhara Kilil, to have said EPRDF has so far won the game. The only question remaining is who will win the second half of the game!
Yohannes a UDJ supporter recognizes EPRDF to have made significant inroads in reaching and answering the people’s agenda! We always thought Ethiopians sooner or later will wake up to understand Kinjit/UDJ/ginbot 7/AEUP leaders were not what they claimed to be. They were all power mongers!
It is pity the Ethiopian opposition is led by such folks. Ethiopia deserves better opposition.
Yohannes’s of UDJ may be hoping against hope for UDJ to come out of the current fiasco unscratched but we hope the Yohannes will not wait in vain for too long. Support EPRDF and help the democratization process.
Only realizing a spade is a spade will help Ethiopia’s democratization process.
One thing is for sure if UDJ joins MEDREK without changing its philosophy then lessons have not been learned from Kinjit days! Let alone a UDJ and ONC and ARENA and Dr Beyene front even a Kinjit front of EDP/Keste/AAUP did not make it. It will help to study EPRDF when it comes to a Front making!

Comment: Ethiopia for sure is going through tough transition times. Its democratic institutions are daily challenged and moving forward is hard. UDJ in Crisis over MEDREK!
Ethiopia deserves a better opposition. One kinjit is too many to understand that a hodgepodge opposition whose sole presence is only justified due the nature of their hate/opposition to EPRDF cannot be enough reason to be taken serious and useful in the democratization process. Supporters of opposition must ask their leaders how they plan to govern if they win elections! They should ask them with whom they forge relationship and if they have learned a thing from Kinjit! Ethiopia is too precious to be left for oppositions that do not have any thing in common except hate! Take UDJ for now. Supporters ask (questions) and their leaders tell them one thing and do something else! UDJ is joining MEDREK whose philosophy is (Medrek philosophy). IS UDJ not in Crisis or is there a change of heart when it comes to Nation and Nationalities?
