Transcript Call between Mulugeta Gebrehiwot and Alex de Waal
Tigray only had 23 battalions, and 42 divisions of Eritrea and twelve divisions of Ethiopia, were all here. This is without including the special forces of the Amhara region, which is beyond, over 10,000, and also special forces of Oromia, Somalia, and other forces as well. The first month's resistance was with this level of asymmetry. And then the Emirates came...

"Quralew": Aren't Eritreans worried about their own integrity if not about Tigray?
Kalayu Abrha 01-29-21 - Tegaru are the most resilient people who never panic however odd the odds are. Some young people had the guts to hide in a building and take a video of an Eritrean camel caravan loaded with looted furniture and kitchenware. While the long caravan passed by those taking the video were making fun of the dishonorable act Eritreans were engaged in.

Ethio360 channel aired a program on the war crimes committed by the Ethiopian government and allied forces in Tigray

12 weeks into the conflict, 'deeply troubling' situation for children in Tigray
NEW YORK, 27 January 2021 - "The very little we know about the impact of the conflict on children in Tigray - from limited partner accounts and UN assessments - is deeply troubling."Across Tigray, immunizations have ground to a halt. Civilian infrastructure, including health facilities, has been damaged or destroyed, and essential supplies looted.

Ethiopia's leader won the Nobel Peace Prize. Now he's accused of war crimes.
Editorial Board Jan. 27, 2021 at 12:25 p.m. PST - FIFTEEN MONTHS ago Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for ending his country's conflict with neighboring Eritrea. Now he may be perpetrating grave crimes against humanity. After launching an invasion of the rebellious province of Tigray
All peace-loving and Tigreans in the Washington Metro Area must relentlessly voice on behalf of our people. The tide is changing as far as US policy towards the Horn region goes. Keep demonstrating and keep lobbying the White House! It is the surest and easiest way to bring change. Lobbying the US Congress is not the priority right now. The White House needs to adjust its policy that is based on dominant democracy which is not ideal for Ethiopia! Ethiopia has no dominant Ethnic or race! Shaibia and Abiy will not have the last say in Tigrai - Never doubt that!

Open Letter to Mr. Pawel Jablonski The Deputy Foreign Minister Warsaw, Poland
Tigray Academic Diaspora in Europe 01-27-21 - This is to express our sincere appreciation for speaking out loudly and clearly on the plight of our people, particularly on the massacre at St. Mary's historical Cathedral in Axum. At this opportunity, may we bring to your attention that the Ethiopian PM. Col. Abiyi Ahmed and his ambassadors are not from the decent part of the Ethiopian society...

War Crimes: Rape and Sexual Violence in Tigray
Mulugeta Abai, Executive Director Canadian Centre for Victims of Torture 01-26-21 - Almost two months have passed since the occupation of Tigray by the Ethiopian army with the order of the Prime Minster, Abiy Ahmed Ali. Despite strict censorship and lack of accessibility by independent observers, cases of war crimes and crimes against humanity come to the fore one after another. Among these crimes are shocking news about rape, sexual violence and enforced prostitutions perpetrated by the occupying forces of Ethiopia and Eritrea.

Biden admin authorizes financial dealings with Yemen's rebels
London - The U.S. Treasury on Monday authorized almost all financial transactions with Yemen's Houthi rebels for the next month, effectively delaying the implementation of former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's last-minute designation of the group as a terror organization while giving the new Biden administration a chance to review it.
Perhaps, there is hope the Biden administration will change course and abandon the failed Trump policy towards the Horn region.

The Three-Legged Genocide in Tigray in the Making
Aynalem Sebhatu 01-26-21 - The international community could no longer look away from what is unfolding in the making of genocide in Tigray. There would be no particular point to elaborating here about the daily killings, bombing, rape, looting, burning farms, destroying cultural and historical assets of Tigray. There is, however, one point that should be made.

Open Letter to former American Ambassador to Ethiopia: Michael Raynor
Gebre Selema 01-26-21 - I have to be honest I was so elated when I heard Ambassador Michael Raynor was departing from Ethiopia, almost immediately after his excellency president Joe Biden assumed power. It is true Michael Raynor has caused so much damage to our community and it is too late now.

Unassuming and Dauntless Seyoum Mesfin:His powerful message in the aftermath of the Tigray Election 2020
B.T. 24.01.21 - On 9 September 2020, the people of Tigray in Northern Ethiopia held a historic regional election where 2.7 million people turned out to cast their votes. Four regional parties took part in the election. While the unelected dictatorial Government of Abiy Ahmed declared it illegal, the people of Tigray overwhelmingly backed and saw it as their constitutional right that no one can deny them from exercising it.

Are those ten stages of genocide executed in Tigray?
W. Yilma January 25/2021 -What I want to remind to the readers is that the war in Tigray is not what Abiy said restoring of "law and order". The war is not only a political move to revenge certain groups, under the pretext of "to bring the TPLF junta to justice", but also to exterminate the people of Tigray through man made starvation, destroying their infrastructures and industrial manufacturing installations...

Which is the real enemy of Tigray: Individual Leaders or the Established System in Ethiopia?
Kalayu Abrha 01-25-21 - I would like to thank TMH's Stalin Gebreselassie for proposing a debate on what is indicated in the title of this article. I don't know how different it is this time; whether Tigray will forgive and forget as it repeatedly did in the past. Of course, given the global mobilization of Tegaru against the widespread mass killings, destruction, looting of property...

Ethiopia's leader must answer for the high cost of hidden war in Tigray - Abiy Ahmed should hand back his Nobel peace prize over his actions in the breakaway region that have raised the spectre of famine again. Seyoum Mesfin, Ethiopia’s long-serving former foreign minister, was one of the foremost African diplomats of his generation. He was gunned down this month in Tigray by the armed forces of a lesser man – Abiy Ahmed

Emergency Rapid Military Rescue Operation by EU, UNSC and USA; can only stop the genocide in Tigrai.
Gebre Selema 01-24-21 - For outsiders, they may think there is government in Ethiopia. But Ethiopia has not had government for the past two and half years and until now. The former illegal, illegitimate PM Abiy Ahmed Ali term expired officially on Oct 6 2020 despite even his illegal position was already violated by himself long before the October 6 2020 due to the fact that he dissolved his own party illegally by breaching his own oath that he has made on a national TV.

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, November 23, 2021--The Tigray Community of Illinois, on behalf of its members who reside in the great state of Illinois, is writing this Press Release to bring to your attention the on-going state-led ethnic genocidal campaign on ethnic Tigrayans in Ethiopia. MOHAMMED NURHUSSEINJANUARY 22,2021--Tigray with a population of six million is one of the 10 regional states that make up the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Abiy's quarrel with the Tigray Peoples Liberation Front-TPLF, the regional ruling party, is what precipitated the armed conflict. Abiy deployed the bulk of the Ethiopian defense forces bolstered by the Special Forces and Militia of the neighboring Amhara Regional State. He also invited his new found ally, one of the most repressive dictators in Africa, Isaias Afeworki of Eritrea, to help with the invasion.

An urgent message to his excellence Mr Joseph Robinette Biden Jr., 46th President of the United States of America, from Tigray.
From Governance Forum Mekelle, Tigrai Jan 22, 2021 - This is Mebrat, a 3-year-old child from Humera, western Tigray, Ethiopia, Africa. She is admitted to a hospital in the Regional capital city Mekelle, with severe acute edematous malnutrition. She also has accompanying severe anemia which could be observed from the pale foot (plantar side). Her two brothers and a sister too have similar signs of acute malnutrition.

Traitors in History
Kalayu Abrha 01-23-21 - One of the key agendas in the complex politics of Tigray, which is gathering momentum in the last few months, is the issue of traitors. Although the intensity and the damage it is inflicting on the people's cause to survive and thrive is immense any analysis of it may become incomplete due to the absence of adequate and reliable information about who is who and the extent of harm done.

Abiy Ahmed and the Political Weaponization of Lies
Aynalem Sebhatu 01-22-21 - Amid the gush of sugar-coated words of Abiy Ahmed churning through the political landscape of Ethiopia, his words "going to war against Tigray will be madness" stands out as an enduring political deception-and many say unseemly-Ethiopia’s betrayal to its disintegration. True, there is no legal means of binding the tongues of Abiy Ahmed.

UAE: Investment or military Interference in the Horn?
Firew (12.01.21) - Until about two or three years ago, the AU, UN, EU, UK and countries in the Horn, notably Ethiopia before Abiy, had done a great deal to ensure peace and stability in the Horn of Africa. Some of the achievements of the efforts were functioning governments in Somalia and South Sudan, containment of belligerent Eritrea through UN sanctions and focus on socioeconomic development.

Journalist shot dead in Ethiopia's Tigray - aid worker, residents
NAIROBI (Reuters) - An Ethiopian journalist and his friend have been shot dead in the Tigray region's capital Mekelle, an aid worker and a resident said on Thursday. Rights groups say press freedom has eroded since a November war between federal troops and forces loyal to the former ruling party of Tigray, which lost Mekelle at the end of that month. Dawit Kebede, who worked for Tigray regional state TV, was shot on Tuesday night while in a car with friends, one aid worker said. "Both were shot in their head and their bodies were found in a car they were driving," said the worker, who asked not to be named.

Ethiopia, Land of Atrocities
Tesfay Atsbeha 01-20-21 - "If humanitarian intervention is, indeed, an unacceptable assault on sovereignty, how should we respond to a Rwanda, to a Srebrenica, to gross and systematic violation of human rights that offend every precept of our common humanity?" Kofi Annan in his 2000 Millennium Report. Now, the current question is how does the World community prevent Tigray from being a Rwanda or a Srebrenica? What is to be done when the one who has the responsibility to protect the people, in this case Abiy Ahmed, is the perpetrator? ....Read Also: Ethiopia, Land of Atrocities(German)

The Axum Civilian Massacre of November 2020
M. J. 18.01.2021 - Eyewitness accounts are emerging with respect to the various reports of the Axum city November 2020 massacre of around 750 innocent people. Elusive Peace in the Horn of Africa
Fessahaye Mebrahtu 01-19-21 - The Horn of Africa located between the Red Sea and Indian Ocean, is geopolitically strategic location, attracting multiple actors and world powers, elbowing each other. All these actors vying for their national self-interests at the expense of the local people. The Horn of Africa has been immersed in internal and intra-national conflicts for generations, mostly proxy-wars.

The Eritrean Democratic movements should campaign vigorously to bring Isaias to the International Criminal court
Petros Tesfagiorgis 01-19-21 - On 4 November 2020 the Federal Government of Ethiopia led by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed launched the war against the regional government of Tigray. Dictator Isaias of Eritrea gave Abiy not only logistical support such as transporting huge number of Ethiopian troops to Eritrea from which they would encircle Tigray but sent Eritrean army to participate in the war.

In Memoriam: Seyoum Mesfin, Ethiopian Peacemaker and Patriot
Seyoum Mesfin, who was killed in Tigray this week at the age of 71, was Ethiopia's longest-serving foreign minister. His untimely death robs Ethiopia of a man who exemplified the country's tradition of enlightened and progressive patriotism. Under other circumstances we would expect a national day of mourning and a state funeral, including national and international recognition of Seyoum's exceptional contribution to the norms, principles and practices of peace in Africa.
