Swedish journalists sentenced to 11 yrs in prison
Addis Ababa, December 27 (WIC) – Federal High Court on Tuesday sentenced two Swedish journalists to 11 years in prison.Johan Persson and Martin Schibbye were found guilty of rendering support to terrorism and illegal entry into Ethiopia last week..
Watching the documentary film "silent cry" produced by waltainfo and the original silent film producers themselves, one can guess what these two journalist were up to? These two gentle men are lucky they were not killed right on the spot during the battle! Be that as it may we are afraid Ethiopia's legal system is being undermined by the "pardon" process. Even the fernji knowshe/she can ask for pardon and let go! For our constitution sake let the stupid journalist go using another excuse and not a pardon! Also, the story may have outlived its educational value and begun to be a liability!
