A Huge Successful Rally

Aigaforum 08/05/10 (Washington DC) - Ethiopians and friends of Ethiopia residing in Washington metro area held a huge rally in support of Ethiopia’s quest to use the Nile River and its fight against terrorism. The rally organized by an adhoc committee hand delivered a letter to Secretary Hilary Clinton. Preliminary report suggests close to 1000 demonstrators participated in the march. Organizers were pleased by the turn of events of this watershed moment. Washington DC has seen many demonstrations in the past including the recent one held by extremist Diaspora with the help of the one man government in Eritrea against Ethiopia and the UN sanction passed against Eritrea's regime. Organizers hope this is one of many to follow now that the door is open. Stay tuned for more on this developing story!

The image most of us retain of Ethiopia is one of mass starvation and a glittery rock concert intended to ease the suffering.
