Dear Aiga,

Could you please post on your website, that ETV being broadcast on the MHZ network to the DC area(the problem may be all over ...!) has a sound quality issue. It seems like ETV upgraded their video quality, but the upgrade seems to affect the sound quality badly, to the point it is a high pitch sound. I have tried to send ETV an e-mail to etv2 @ ethionet.et but didn't get any response. So I suggest on your website to raise this issue, may be some from ETV staff may read it in your website and address the problem.

Also, trying to access the press release in the website of the MFA that was posted on your website, causes my internet browser to display the website has been reported as an "Reported Attack Page!." I think the MFA IT staff has to address with Google, and other internet search engine about the site being listed as an attack site. Thanks. Lela.

Ethiopia eyes end of food aid within five years: PM

ADDIS ABABA (Reuters) – Ethiopia may not need any food aid within five years thanks to an ambitious development plan that targets a heady average economic growth of 14.9 percent over the period, its prime minister said Wednesday.
"In the future, we will feed ourselves and we will be able to manage our own forms of social security," Prime Minister Meles Zenawi told reporters. "I don't think that is impossible. I think it's quite achievable over the next five years."

Comment:- With a stable, farsighted government that got an overwhelming support during the last national election Ethiopia should be able to achieve such ambitious goal. All it takes is determination! And thanks to the gallant fighters who fought and won against the Derge regime, Ethiopians know what tenacity and determination are all about!
