The New Faces of Kinjit or Just another Kinjit alike?

During election 2005 Kinjit folks used to fly often to America as if Diaspora Ethiopians are a voting member of the public. They never understood their fate was determined by the Ethiopian public only. Negerew negerew embi kale mekera yimkerew endtebalew, loosely translated it means, let him /her learn the hard way, Kinjit leaders learned the hard way extremist in Diaspora or pal talk room customers were not their saviors.
Today the new Kinjit worashoch(inheritors) unfazed by Kinjit failure are touring the USA barely a month away from election 2010!Aite Gebru and Dr Negasso replacing Eng Hailu and Berhanu Nega as the new faces of the opposition will surely leave a sour taste with Kinjit old timers making this tour a waste but what on earth are they doing here when they should be in Dembidelo and Nebelet explaining to the Ethiopian people why they should vote for them when they have made a 180 degree turn on the core principles of the Ethiopian constitution? Shouldn't they be spending time explaining why Aite Siye, their spokesperson, said Ethiopia is not a bag full of nation and nationalities?
Or are they here to monitor the conference organized by Berhanu Nega in Washington DC? The conference organizers did say they have invited people from Ethiopia!

Priority misplaced says Dr Kofi.

(Aigaforum 04/05/10)- Dr Kofi wrote a letter to Trans African Forum one of the hoodwinked sponsors of the upcoming conference on the horn to be held in Washington DC. Since then Dr Kofi has received few emails from the extremist. One particular email got his attention and wrote the reply below(included). Ethiopia’s transformation cannot be hidden anymore! No matter how much the defeated nay Sayers from yesterday defame the country, Ethiopia is moving forward!

Comment:- Forum (Medrek) has one female candidate in Tigrai and two candidates in Amhara for House of Representatives! We can understand the male dominated group that came from the Kinjit or Derg side to Medrek having little regard to women in politics but what is with ARENA?

Arena, the party of once a woyanit Aregash is fielding one female candidate in Tigrai! edo Aregash?

Does the opposition think Ethiopia’s good governance as well as democratic aspiration can be solved without women’s meaningful participation? How can one honestly vote for the opposition hoping they will do better governing with such glaring shortcomings?

The funny thing is EDP while professing the “third way” has 11 women candidates out of 230! Someone needs to explain what kind of liberal democracy the oppositions are following to have such underrepresentation!..(source= electionethiopia.org)

Ethiopia sees boost in export returns this year
April 4, 2010 (ADDIS ABABA) – Ethiopia has secured over USD 1.8 Billion from export earnings over the past eight months alone, a 200 million USD rise from that of same period last year. State Ministry of Trade and Industry said.

Open Letter to Trans African Forum

Dr. Kofi Agyapong, Chairman of Sons and Daughters of Africa, has asked Trans African forum to consider their involvement in the upcoming “Conference on Good Governance, Peace, Security and Sustainable Development in the Horn of Africa”

Unlike the colonial viceroy lady Ana Gomez who is shuttling between Europe and America to help a well known groups that wants to remove the Ethiopian government by any means necessary including terrorism, Dr Kofi recognize the stride Ethiopia has made towards becoming a democratic country.

Dr Kofi reminded Trans African Forum not to tarnish their mission and all the good work they have done to promote African issue by participating in this conference.
